Eating disorders service for young
people
Capio Nightingale has an established specialist inpatient Eating Disorders service for young people aged 12-18.
The service accepts girls and boys with a range of eating-related disorders including:
- anorexia
- bulimia
- binge eating
- mixed or non-specific eating disorders
We also accept young people with dual diagnosis of eating disorders - where the eating disorder symptoms may be part of or co-exist with another illness such as depression, drug use, etc.
We offer care and treatment to young people with new onset or longstanding problems, with mild or severe illnesses, and who may have diagnostic issues or complex case profiles.
Therapeutic approach
We offer flexible packages of care at every level of intensity to suit the individual. Our approach supports step-up and step-down care matching progress made at any given time.
The service works closely with other care providers such as dieticians and wellbeing therapists to ensure that physical health needs are met as part of an integrated package of care.
