Our specialist team

Our multi-disciplinary team consists of experienced, specialist consultant psychiatrists and unit doctors, a dietician, specialist therapists - including psychologists, dynamic group, family and occupational therapists, and a specialist nursing team.

Services

We believe that a standard approach to treatment is of limited help, preferring to work with the individual client to provide flexible care packages. Our treatments are based on the best clinical evidence.

We offer a variety of options including:

• flexible care pathways - outpatient, day patient, inpatient and outreach assessments
• specialist treatments - based on best clinical evidence
• rehabilitation - reintegration back to every day life
• carers' support
• liaison with other providers (e.g. Physicians, NHS) for continuity of care

Eating disorders

Eating disorders are not just about food and weight. The physical impact of dieting on the body is only one aspect of this condition.

Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia are complex illneses, underpinned by emotional difficulties with serious physical, biological, psychological and social consequences.

Our treatment philosophy stems from understanding the causes and consequences of these illnesses.

We are committed to engaging each individual in the difficult process of recovery, which can reveal the ambivalence and emotional conflicts underlying these illnesses.

We achieve this through a collaborative partnership with each individual, their family and a multi-disciplinary team. We believe that through this treatment approach, individuals can begin to resume responsibility, choice and enjoyment in their lives.

What we treat

• Anorexia, Bulimia Nervosa
• binge eating
• mixed 'Atypical’ eating disorders
• dual diagnosis - where the eating disorder symptoms maybe part of or coexist with another illness e.g. depression, drug use etc.

We offer complete care or episodes of brief focused, goal
orientated care for mild to to severe cases, or any case with diagnostic issues.
